Donate to Jhoole
We need your support: with your contribution, we will assist the Jhoole weavers in creating products. Not only will these artisans be able to make a good living wage, but remaining profits will go to Chetanya Sewa, a non-profit organization in Maheshwar, that transforms the lives of elderly people living in poverty.
- Purchase raw materials in order to fill orders
- Renovate substandard equipment, particularly the reeds on the fly-shuttle looms used by weavers in Maheshwar
- Sponsor trainings and designer input to help upgrade the weavers’ skills
- Deal with the administration costs entailed in organizing over a hundred weavers.
- If you or your organization has contributed to Jhoole, you will be listed both at the photography exhibition at Womanspace (which will be largely publicized locally) and on this website
